Remember that we often deliver overnight and in the early morning hours and therefore cannot deliver to business addresses.
You have several options when sending parcels with us; for home delivery, to a daoSHOP, and to 24 countries in Europe.

If you choose home delivery, the parcel must comply with the following:
– Max. weight: 5 kg
– Max. length: 55 cm
– Max. circumference + length: 120 cm

If you choose delivery to a daoSHOP, the parcel may be larger than for home delivery, but it must still comply with the following:
– Max. weight: 15 kg
– Max. length: 80 cm
– Max. circumference + length: 240 cm

When sending parcels to Europe, they must comply with the following:
– Max. weight: 10 kg
– Max. length: 80 cm
– Max. circumference + length: 240 cm

You can always check the circumference and length by entering your parcel’s dimensions in our online portal.

Here you’ll find out whether we can send your parcel – even without purchasing the shipping.
When you send parcels with us, your parcel is insured up to 2.500 DKK if it gets damaged during transportation and is properly packaged. If you are unsure about how to pack your parcels correctly, you can read our packaging guide here.

If your parcel is damaged during transportation, we need to know within 5 days from the delivery date. The claim must be filed using this form. To assess the case, we need pictures of the inner and outer packaging as well as the damaged content.

When you send a parcel with us, you should be aware of the following:
– We only send to private recipients.
– We compensate for a maximum of 2.500 DKK per parcel.
– Your parcel must be properly packaged.
– Keep your receipt for sending.
– There are items that we cannot distribute.
– You can only send a parcel that is within our maximum dimensions and weight.

It should be easy to send with us, so you don’t need to print a label when sending parcels with us! Just use our 9-digit code for a daoE-LABEL.

When you purchase the shipping on our online portal, you will be provided with your 9-digit delivery code, which you can write directly on the parcel.

When you drop off the parcel at your daoSHOP, we will affix a label to it. All parcels can be tracked on our Track & Trace, with the 9-digit delivery code and your 20-digit parcel number.

If you have access to a printer, you are also very welcome to print the label and attach it to the parcel.
Yes, there are items that you cannot send with us. Here is a list of things that you cannot send with us:
– Cash
– Hazardous goods
– Live or dead animals
– Weapons and weapon parts as well as active/inactive ammunition or explosive elements that require special permission to transport
– Perishable goods, frozen items, plants, etc.
– Goods that are illegal to import, export, or distribute according to the law (e.g., counterfeit products, medication, illegal drugs, etc.)
– Content that is against current sanction laws to distribute

Please be aware that we do not compensate for the damage or loss of these goods.

We would really like to have the honor of delivering your letters and parcels, but unfortunately, we do not offer deliveries to business addresses, as we often deliver overnight and in the early morning hours.
With our service, daoGLOBAL, you have the opportunity to send parcels to 24 countries in Europe. You can read more about our service here, or purchase the shipping on our online portal.
If you need to return your parcel, you should always contact the sender and arrange it with them.

It’s not possible to return the parcel using the same number that you received your parcel with. A new label is needed for the parcel.

If you ordered your parcel from an online store, they can often help with a return label.

If you received your parcel from a private sender, then you can purchase a label on our website and return the parcel with it.

We would like to pick up your parcel from your home address if it fits better into your daily routine.

You can order pickup when you purchase the shipping on our online portal.

When you order the pickup of your parcel, please note that the parcel must comply with the following:
– Max. weight: 3 kg
– Max. length: 55 cm
– Max. circumference + length: 120 cm

If we cannot offer pickup at your home address, then you can drop off your parcel at one of our more than 1,300 daoSHOPs.

It’s important that you do not leave the store before you have received an SMS/email confirming that the parcel has been dropped off. Keep the receipt so you can track the parcel to your recipient.

If you need to send many parcels from your address, we would like to pick them up for you.

If you send parcels in a continuous flow and send more than about 500 parcels a year, it could be advantageous to get a business agreement with dao.

If you have a Mastercard or Visa card, the amount may appear as “reserved,” not “withdrawn.” In such cases, you should contact your bank to have the reservation removed.

It can take up to 5 days from the time you submit the letter until it is delivered to the recipient’s mailbox.
When you want to send letters with us, you have two options: Letters between 0-100 grams cost 20 DKK, but letters up to 250 grams cost 40 DKK to send. Letter codes can be purchased on our online portal.
When sending letters with us, simply write the recipient’s address clearly on the front of the letter and your own address on the back.

Also remember to write the 6-digit letter code in the top right corner on the front of the letter.

The letters can be dropped off at any of our daoSHOPs across the country. They just need to be placed in the red dao box in the store, and we’ll take care of the rest.
You can purchase letter codes on our online portal and in our app. If you wish to buy physical letter marks, they can be purchased in sheets here.
You can send letters up to 250 grams and with maximum dimensions of 33 x 23 x 1 cm, equivalent to an A4 sheet. Please note that if the letter is larger or weighs over 250 grams, it must be sent as a parcel.
When sending letters with us, they can only contain paper, cardboard, or plastic. And remember, the letter must not be thicker than 1 cm. If it is thicker or weighs over 250 grams, it must be sent as a parcel.
Unfortunately, we do not sell stamps, but we have a similar product called letter marks. They can be purchased in sheets of 64 pieces on our site, magsroom.dk.
When sending letters with us, it is important that you write both the recipient’s full address and the letter code on the front of the letter.
We would very much appreciate it if you write your sender information on the back of the letter. That way, we can return the letter to you if we cannot deliver it to your recipient.
When you send letters with us, you should be aware of the following:
– We only send to private addresses in Denmark.
– We do not replace lost letters or contents within the letters.
– We do not deliver to PO boxes.
– There are items that we cannot distribute as letters; your letters may only contain paper, cardboard, or plastic.
– There is no tracking on letters.

Unfortunately, we do not provide compensation for lost letters. You can read more in our terms and conditions.
Unfortunately, we do not have access to PO boxes, so letters must be sent to the recipient’s private address.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to send letters abroad with us. We exclusively deliver letters to Danish addresses, so we unfortunately cannot deliver letters in Greenland or the Faroe Islands.

If the parcel is marked as delivered to your address, our courier has scanned it as delivered. We deliver parcels to the mailbox or in front of the main door.

If you do not find the parcel in the mailbox or by the door, we encourage you to check if other household members might have brought the parcel inside or taken it with them for later delivery.

It’s also a good idea to investigate whether there could have been a mistake and maybe a neighbor has received the parcel by accident. If that’s the case, we sincerely apologize and would like to hear from you.

If the parcel still cannot be found, please contact us so we can assist you.
If your parcel has been delivered to a daoSHOP, it is often because it has been ordered by the sender to be delivered directly to the specified daoSHOP.

The parcel can also be redirected by dao to a daoSHOP if we are unable to safely deliver the parcel to the delivery address or do not have access to the main door/mailbox.
The expected delivery time for a parcel is 1-4 days from the first time we scan the parcel.

If your parcel has not arrived on time, it could be due to several reasons:

The parcel may be too large for our home delivery. On Sjælland, the parcel may switch to evening delivery. In such cases, you will receive a text message from us with this information.

The packaging may have been damaged en route and sent for inspection at our terminal.

There could be several reasons why your parcel is being returned to our terminal:

– There might have been a mistake on our part – in that case, the parcel should be delivered tomorrow.
– The parcel may have been damaged – in that case, we will send it for inspection/closure of packaging and send it again.
– The parcel may have been called back by the sender.
– The parcel may have been left in our daoSHOP for too long and now needs to be returned to the sender.
It is very important that you do not leave your daoSHOP before you have received your receipt for drop-off. It is your assurance that the parcel is in our custody.
When the parcel is ready for pickup at a daoSHOP, you need a collection code to receive your parcel.

If you haven’t received it, you can enter your complete dao parcel number or the 9-digit daoE-LABEL code along with your mobile number here. You will then receive the code via SMS within 2 minutes.
When you track the parcel number or the 9-digit daoE-LABEL code on our Track & Trace, you can see at the bottom of the page which daoSHOP your parcel is being sent to.

When you receive a message with the collection code, your parcel is ready for pickup.
We apologize that your parcel has not been delivered as expected.

It might be the sender who chose a different daoSHOP than what was agreed upon – in this case, you need to contact your sender.

If you need us to check what happened, please feel free to contact us.
Unfortunately, we are unable to redirect your parcel to a different daoSHOP than the one already chosen.

If the chosen daoSHOP does not fit into your daily routine, we can return your parcel to the sender, and they can send a new one to the desired daoSHOP.
You can certainly have someone else collect your parcel.

The person just needs to provide the parcel number and the 5-digit collection code, which you have received via SMS and email.

You may find it convenient to forward the message with the collection code that we sent to you – so all the information is gathered in one place.
It is possible to extend the deadline for how long a parcel remains available for collection at our daoSHOP.

You are welcome to call us at 72 33 08 50 to postpone the collection deadline.
If you do not wish to receive your parcel that is ready for collection, we would very much like to hear from you.

Then we can send it back to the sender earlier, so you can more quickly settle any credit you may have.

When your parcel has been in a daoSHOP for more than 7 days, it will automatically be sent back to the sender.

If a parcel from a private sender is returned, it is sent back to the daoSHOP closest to the sender’s address.

You can always track your parcel and see how far along it is on our Track & Trace.

You just need to enter your 20-digit parcel number or your 9-digit daoE-LABEL code, and then you can follow your parcel’s journey.
We deliver parcels overnight and in the early morning hours, and therefore we have key access to a lot of building entrances in Denmark.

If we have access to your building entrance, our courier will deliver your parcel to your mailbox or in front of your main door, provided it is safe to do so.

If we do not have access to your building entrance or the courier deems the delivery to be unsafe, your parcel will be sent to a nearby daoSHOP relative to your address. You will receive a text message with a collection code when your parcel is ready for pickup.

We deliver parcels overnight and in the early morning hours. Therefore, we deliver the parcel to your mailbox or in front of your main door – we hope we haven’t disturbed you during the night.

If your parcel has not been delivered to the address, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

– The parcel could not be delivered safely to the address.
– The parcel exceeds the dimensions for our home delivery.
– The parcel weighs more than 5 kg.
– There is an error in the address on the parcel’s label.
If your parcel weighs more than the weight category selected when purchasing the shipping, we may ask you to pay the difference. You will receive a text message from us with more information.
We are sorry to hear that your parcel was damaged during transport! Your parcel is insured up to 2.500 DKK, provided it is properly packaged.

If your parcel is damaged during transport, we need to know within 5 weekdays from the delivery date. The claim must be filed using the form here. To assess the case, we need pictures of the inner and outer packaging as well as the damaged contents.

To cancel a subscription, you need to contact the publisher of the subscription you wish to cancel. This will typically be the same place where you ordered the subscription.

If our daoSHOP was unable to locate your parcel even though you were notified that it was ready for pickup, then we need to initiate a search for your parcel.

Please contact us at 72 33 08 50 or kundeservice@dao.as, so we can start the search immediately.
We apologize if your parcel was delivered to the wrong place. You are welcome to contact us at kundeservice@dao.as or 72 33 08 50, so we can pass the message on to the courier.
If your parcel has not been scanned in the last 48 hours, you should report it as missing to us. Remember to specify the contents of the package so we can look for it.

You will receive an email confirmation from us once the search has started.

Remember that we have up to 10 business days to search for your parcel, but we often find it sooner than that.
If your parcel has been delivered to a daoSHOP, it is most often because it was ordered with delivery directly to that shop.

In these cases, we advise that you contact the sender.

We may also choose to redirect your parcel if we cannot deliver your parcel safely to your address or do not have access to your main door/mailbox.
