Use of cookies

The dao website uses "cookies", which is a text file that is placed in your browser's internal memory, which is stored on your computer, mobile or other device for the purposes of recognising it, remembering settings, performing statistics and targeting ads. Cookies cannot contain malware such as viruses.

The most common browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) are set to accept cookies automatically, but you can choose to change the settings to not accept cookies. We draw your attention to the fact, however, that many websites do not work optimally if cookies are not accepted.

Like most other websites, we automatically collect information and store it in log files on our servers for a period of time. This includes information such as the type of browser used, the broadband provider (ISP), operating system, date and time of visits, and other website statistics used to improve our websites. In the majority of cases, this information is also used to customise our marketing.

The information collected is only used internally within the group and will not be disclosed to third parties and/or other persons. We never store information that can identify you personally. See also the dao privacy policy (GDPR).

How to delete or block cookies

But wait - maybe you should not delete your cookies?

When you delete your cookies, you will lose valuable information and make your use of the internet unnecessarily bothersome. Many people delete cookies to clear their search history or hide which pages they have visited, but it is actually easier to simply switch to Private Browsing and preserve the benefits of cookies that ensure that your preferences will be remembered.
